The Role

You’ll recruit cargo van owner-operators for BHX Logistics, our American client in expedited freight. These aren’t employees – they’re business owners who invested their own money and can choose any company. When medical equipment must reach a hospital or auto parts prevent production shutdowns, BHX depends on these drivers.

Marketing delivers leads, you convert them into drivers. You’ll pursue each lead through calls, texts, and emails with the persistence to get answers and the intuition to know when to move on. You’ll manage dozens of candidates across different pipeline stages while making each feel like your priority. The drivers you approve generate thousands weekly, while mistakes cost us major accounts.

What Success Looks Like

Your typical day: reviewing conversions with management at 3 PM, hitting peak calling hours as drivers finish runs at 5 PM, following up with candidates at 7 PM, catching West Coast drivers at 9 PM. You’ll track patterns, share insights with marketing, and build the foundation everything stands on.

The 10:55 PM Test

It’s 10:55 PM and it’s been a brutal day. Drivers ghosted you, rejected you, forced you to reject them. You’re watching the clock, waiting for 11:00 PM so you can finally go home.

Ring ring.

You answer. It’s John, saying he just applied to BHX and has some questions.

Path A: You snap into recruiter mode despite your exhaustion. After a few minutes, you realize John might actually be perfect. Twenty minutes later, you’re welcoming him to the company and walking him through onboarding.
