What You’ll Do

This is a strategic, relationship-driven role — you’re the bridge between BHX’s operations and the drivers who make it all happen. Your success depends on your ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and help each driver reach their goals while protecting the company’s operational standards.

You’ll spend much of your day managing your assigned drivers — understanding their earnings goals, preferences, and personal constraints. Some may need to be home by the weekend; others want to maximize miles and pay. Your job is to help them balance those needs through smart planning, communication, and guidance.

That means rolling up your sleeves: having honest conversations, setting clear expectations, and occasionally delivering tough feedback. You’ll help drivers adjust their dispatch preferences in our system so loads match their goals — while still ensuring the company’s profitability.

This isn’t a “load booking” role — our internal platform handles the bidding automatically. Instead, you operate like a strategist: monitoring results, guiding your fleet, and making adjustments in real time. When a broker calls back with an offer, you’ll use tact, logic, and influence to get the deal done — whether that means persuading a broker to choose us or a driver to take a load at the right rate.

A great dispatcher doesn’t hide behind screens — they lead from the front. You’ll influence outcomes, manage emotions, and make sure your drivers are not just moving freight, but moving forward.


Responsibilities

Manage Shipments: Oversee daily freight movements from booking to delivery.
Build Relationships: Develop trust and accountability with your assigned drivers.
Guide & Coach Drivers: Help drivers align their preferences, earnings, and lifestyle goals.
Negotiate & Communicate: Speak confidently with brokers and drivers to secure strong results.
Solve Problems Fast: Address delays, breakdowns, and unexpected issues calmly and effectively.
Monitor Results: Track performance and continuously adjust strategy to improve outcomes.
